Lore

"May the sisters bless you."

.    .  Mona was born into a wealthy family of Artisans in Thavnair. Her father, Nadir Sjasaris, a blacksmith for the Radiant Hosts and Suesane Sjasaris, a doctor at the Great Works. The Sjasaris already a well respected name throughout the markets of Radz-at-Han for their high quality products, armors and tools. During the time, Mona made set her name as big spender, roaming the markets and flaunting her wealth while gifting her "friends" expensive gifts. When she was low on gil, her voice would echo the markets as she cried and whine to her parents for extra money and would be back in the markets, spending again. Her lavish lifestyle earned her many titles and the spoiled princess wore each title with pride as she bragged her wealth. It wasn't until her late teens that her parents became tried of her excessive spending and her rotten attitude and ultimately cut her off from their finances. Despite her begging, Mona's parents offer two alternatives to return to the family's wealth: Pick up a craft and work as her father's apprentice or marry a potential suitor. After some time, she decided to reject both offers and join the dancer's guild in Thavnair. Although her parents were satisfied with her choice, they still kept her cut off from their finances, keeping Mona at a minimum allowance..  .  During the years as she spent at the Dancer's Guild, Mona's attitude changed over time. Less irresponsible with her spending but still spent her coin on glamour to make herself stand out on the stage. To increase her wages, Mona took up odd jobs around the markets, swallowing her pride and working alongside the merchants she'd once considered less than her. She even assisted her father in his workplace, working under him as an employee and occupancy him on business dealings. During a visit to Ul'dah to complete a material trade, Mona joined her father in collecting the materials and soon became wrapped up in an organized kidnapping, Mona now a hostage and her kidnappers demanding a ransom from her father. Spending days with her kidnappers, Mona watched her tone and though ever word she said was met with a threat, she found the whole ordeal humbling. No longer did her name carry much weight nor did her family's status change the flow of threats or blades gliding against her skin. When her kidnappers were becoming impatient, she conjured tears and was able to move one of her kidnappers. Loosening her bonds, Mona freed herself once night fell, and quickly escaped. Though she and Nadir had reported the incident, nothing was made to be as her kidnappers disappeared into the crowds.

.  . Back home with her family, Mona couldn't shake the dread that fell her. She realized that beside the small trips she takes outside of Thavnair to visit family, she knew nothing about the outside world. She quickly cheered up as she remembered her daring escape, how the adrenaline kicked in and she ran faster than she ever did before. She haven't felt excitement like that, even when she was on stage with the other dancers. That fear she had turned into curiosity as she researched Eoreza and unique cultures it held. Soon her curiosity turned into yearning as she approached her parents with idea of leaving and traveling all of Eoreza on her own. Her parents immediately dismissed her thought, granted the family just went through a near dire situation with her kidnapping, but Mona persisted. They argued back and for months, her allowance was no longer spent on glamours or jewels but on armor and supplies. When she wasn't shopping, she would poke her head into her parents' places of work, asking them about repairing gear or making medicine for her trip. In light of her interests, Nadir set a deal with her. She would travel around Eoreza to oversee some extended businesses and trades in his stead, allowing her to have her fill of adventure. She happily accepted and after a year of preparation, Mona traveled with the Dancer's Guild to Limsa Lominsa. Mona fulfilled her duties to her family's business but also slips away from time to time to engage in adventure, picking up fighting skills as she navigates through Eorzea and plants her footing in the world of trade as well; wearing her new title as a fellow merchant.

Passionate about her work, she does every task with great enthusiasm and with her bubbly smile, it is easy for her to strike up a conversation with strangers. OOC

HELLO!
I'm Hermit and I am glad you took the time to read my character's carrd. I have many more characters but I am mostly focused on this one as my main WoL. Aside from playing, I am an armature writer and I want to write stories about Mona so please stick around.
Although I am rather new to RP in FFXIV, I prefer that those who I interact with would be 21+, if you are younger, I would kindly ask if you could look elsewhere.I do plan on adding a gallery so please give me time.
Thank you <3
